Antigone
Due Date: February 13, 2012
Comment on this speech from Antigone regarding the struggle Antigone faces between obeying the State and obeying God.
Creon: "And yet you dared defy the law."
Antigone: "I dared. It was not God's proclamation...Your edict, King, was strong, but all your strength is weakness itself against the immortal unrecorded laws of God. "
Also, both Creon and Antigone are accused of being headstrong and obdurate. Do you agree? Is it always a bad thing to be obdurate?
Due Monday. 200 words.
